Accept following rules before uploading files (attachments) to the server:
- Don't violate any copyrights. It is not legal to post copied sheet music
from albums, books or other sources as long as it's content is under
copyright. It's not legal to
post and contents of CD's, mp3 files and other musical sources which are under
copyright. However you can upload any of your own compositions or those of
third parties as long as you firmly know that you are not violating any copy
right. If you wish to protect your own creations do so and make a copyright
note in the post which bears your attachment. Be also aware that
Panfluteforum.org is not responsible for screening you content. You are
responsible yourself regarding your uploaded files.
- Virus check all files before you upload them. Do the same when you
download a posted attachment. Keep this Forum virus free!
- Don't upload any material which is libelous, defamatory, obscene,
indecent, lewd, pornographic, violent, abusive, threatening, harassing or is
otherwise in violation of the law.
- Keep the upload small in file size. Compress files as good as possible.
Don't waste server space with unneeded attachments.
- VERY IMPORTANT: Open a separate
thread for each uploaded file. Enter a brief description of the attachment in
the SUBJECT section and a more extended explanation in the MESSAGE BOX. This
makes it easier to find a specific file with the search engine. This is very
important, since the search engine only scans through the message text but not
through the file itself.
How to upload files (attachment)
Uploading files is really simple. To do so you must be "registered" and
"logged in". Post a message or reply to an existing message. After the file
description in the message click "continue". Now you can attach the file by
clicking "Browse". Remember where in your computer the file is. Go to the
right folder (directory), click the file and then
"Open". Then click "continue".
The file is now uploaded and will show in the post as an "attachment".
There could be several reasons if your upload fails. Your file could be more
than 250KB, your file extension is not one of the listed above or your browser
is not compatible with uploading files.
How to download files
Downloading files is very simple. Just click the selected "attachment". You
can either save the attachment/file to your hard disk or open it and instantly
view/listen provided you have an appropriate program associated with the
execution of the file.
